Alaska District Meeting Update |

My Brothers,
I bring you greetings from the District Meeting in Anchorage, Alaska. Despite it being early Sunday morning I am amazed that there is still light in the sky!!!
As I will be traveling all day later today I wanted to get a quick note out to each of you regarding a couple of District Meeting highlights. First and foremost, the Brothers of Gamma Alpha Alpha did a great job of organizing and executing an truly enjoyable weekend. We have been well taken care of.
From an attendance perspective, as we all expected it was down considerably given the economic down turn. I have heard unofficially that registered attendance was between 85 and 95 Brothers. The pre-registered number was much higher, however, again a result of the expense to come to Alaska, actual attendance fell short. In addition to myself, Sigma Iota was represented by Bro. Aubrey Dent, Bro. Michael Bell, and Bro. Bobby Wilson. Thanks Brothers for traveling to Anchorage. |

 My Brothers,
Greetings on the day after the most historic political event in my lifetime – the election of Barack Obama as President of these United States!!!
I know many of you spent the evening with family and friends and I hope you enjoyed the evening as much as I did. I’m thrilled to say that over 40 Brothers, fellow Greeks, family and friends came down to the Omega House to watch the returns and celebrate President-Elect Obama’s win. You may have actually heard us as the roar that went up was truly deafening when CNN projected Obama as our next President! A truly wonderful historical moment!
