With the significant growth in our youth mentoring and community service initiatives, in 2009 Sigma Iota Chapter created sponsorship and donation opportunities for corporations and individuals to support these community-based programs.  Youth mentoring contributions are used to support educational program material development, quarterly outings (corporate, academic, cultural, social), and technology acquisition and maintenance.  In addition, community service contributions are used to support several programs including our annual back-to-school (school supply) drive, Oakland Children's Hospital holiday party, West Oakland Community holiday party and toy drive, safety awareness days, and neighborhood beautification days.
